If the even semester exam is held on April 2011 is it possible to complete the whole syllabus within three months and learn something? Or it will be just mug up some questions and pass? Will there be any base of our knowledge?

in 4th sem analog communication q paper of 2009 mostly theoritical questions came.hardly any sums came.so what should i do to study this subject?sums are imp for competitive exams and building concepts.it creates a mess of a thing .also the xam is very near.I cant decide properly.pls help me.
