Re: Section 6.2 (Chapter – III, Part 2, FR, WBUT) i. A student shall be eligible for promotion to the next higher level if s/he has cleared ALL course items of earlier semesters individually ii. A student shall be eligible for promotion to the next higher level if s/he has not been able to clear up to a maximum of 4 course items (counting ALL items for the two semesters of the level as units with each SGPA as an item) but has maintained an YGPA of 5 or above. iii. A students with a YGPA of at least 6.0 and has not more than one backlog at any stage below the present level from which the promotion is sought and the total number of backlog papers including those in the present level not exceeding a total of four backlogs will be eligible for promotion to the next higher level. iv.
