I am a 3rd year student of Electronics and Communication. I have taken up Data Structures and C as elective. Can anyone please tell me if I am allowed to write a pseudo-code when the question is asking for an algorithm? Also please tell me whether in WBUT, will my marks be deducted for that or not?

Yes you can write Pseudo-Code when you need to write Algorithm. No marks will be deducted for that.
