Yesterday i went to WBJEE precounselling....there somebody was announcing on the microphone that if a student performs well in a particular stream...he is eligible for opting a better stream....now my question is,,,,is it applicable for both private and govt colleges or only for private colleges???

on 2010-06-26 09:30:00You are right, stream change option is avaiable in all Colleges (Govt as well), but number of seats depend on each college and may vary from 2 - 10 seats in a Stream like CSE or ECE. To change your stream, you have to get more and more marks in 1st and 2nd semester.

on 2010-06-30 09:30:00yup current rules state >8.5 in average from the 1st 2 sem is needed.however evry college makes their own rules.like in AOT,options fr stream changing is given to only da top 3 from each stream....

on 2010-07-03 09:30:00no there\'s no specification.you can opt for any stream.btw dat top 3 rule is not valid for every college.generally very few decide 2 change their stream.so if u get >8.5 then i gus there\'s maximum chance that you can easily change your stream.
