Sir my results were very bad in da 1st year how shuld i approach so as to get a good position or a good rank in GATE 2013 ? What books suld i follow for it?

you have 2 years left and first year score has nothing to do with preparation of GATE ... start with the basics, try to get command on your favorite or course subjects . .
