The college has a Central Library of its own located in the ground floor of the building. The library has a total carpet area of about 3200 sq. ft. The library was started along with the establishment of the college in August, 2005 in order to serve the academic needs of the faculties, students, technical assistants, and other non- teaching staff of the college. The library also has a Reading Room of about 1000 sq. ft. with an accommodation of 60 readers. The total collection of the library (books only) is displayed in the reading room. Those books can be used for reading purpose only.
The library has a total collection of about 14000 volumes and about 1300 titles at present. There are mainly two categories of books � texts and references. The library also provides journals and magazines of various interests which are to be used only in the journal section of the library. Books on various competitive examinations for career / service and documents on current information, general knowledge, dictionaries, newsletters CDs etc. are separately available for reading purpose only and cannot be taken outside the reading room.
The R&D cell of TICT has started functioning since1st August,2009. Chairman Mr.G.Roychaudhury initiated this concept to set up the cell for centralized functioning at TICT. Honorable Director, and Professor S. K. Roy, Dean of Academics and Head,R & D Cell, TICT had taken up and nourished this concept to promote research culture and knowledge based practice. (a) Entrepreneurship Development Cell
IIP Cell is to reduce the gap between industry expectations and academic offerings by direct involvement of industry to attain a symbiosis.
(b) Industry Institute Partnership Cell
To create an environment for self-employment and entrepreneurship development through formal and non-formal programmes.
To introduce the concept of entrepreneurship in curricula at degree level.
To develop management personnel
To utilize the infrastructure facilities and technically trained manpower for the development of non-corporate and unorganized sectors.
To promote employment opportunities. Functioning of both the cells is in progress.
