In today’s society science and technology plays a very important part in every walk of life. Every day the role of technology in our lives are becoming more and more important and with this increases the need for engineers. So it is necessary to setup more and more engineering colleges. But the engineering college setup must have all the necessary provisions required for a student to get proper training in their respective branches. The college should not remain only as a profit making company; instead it should be place to provide best possible facilities for the students and the best working atmosphere for the staff.

The Promoting Body

The college, Dream Institute of Technology is proposed by the “SARKAR TRUST” which has its office at 187/1, Block-J, New Alipore, Kolkata – 53. The Trust is a charitable trust which has been regd. on 23.08.2004. Initially the Trust comprises of only four members.

Mission of The Promoting Body

• Organize undergraduate courses of study in engineering & emerging technologies.
• Organize P.G. programs in basic & applied sciences, engg, technology & other branches of study.
• Develop centre of excellence for higher studies & research in engg, technology & magt education.
• Organize & offer consultancy services to the industry & other organizations desiring such assistance.
• Create awareness in areas of EVS, conservation of energy & resources, IT & biotechnology.

Vision of The Promoting Body

The members of the trust have been involved in the promotion of various engineering colleges throughout India for the past 40 years. So it is the vision of the members to start a college of their own so as to make full use of their experience accumulated down the years for providing students with some of the best facilities available in their respective field of studies. The Trust aims at providing ideal education scenario for students and teachers at the same time.
