Central Library

The Institute has a computerized central library with the objective of supporting academic and research programmes of the institute. The library is centrally placed and easily accessible. The library has a collection of over 30000 volumes on technical subjects, 90 technical journals (national and international) and other periodicals, magazines and dailies (Regional-3, English-2). The major thrust areas of the library collection of materials on History, Culture Studies and Religion. The library also possesses reports, pamphlets, articles, audio and videocassettes collected from sources within India. The Reference Section for English contains documents such as dictionaries and encyclopedias. There is also a separate textbook section housing books prescribed for specific courses provided by the Institute.

Book Bank

Book bank facility is available for students; here a students can issue 8 books from the book bank and keep those books till the end of the semester. Students may avail book bank facility from very first day in institute.

For the benefit of outstation students, IST provides boarding facilities at reasonable charges for Management & Engineering students. Homely food - both vegetarian and nom-vegetarian is served to the students as per their preference and choices. Delicious food is being served to cater the students from different regions. Break fast, lunch, evening snacks and dinner is given at convenient times with a menu that contains balanced diet. The students are under strict and continuous supervision of Residential Wardens. Separate study rooms are provided for the hostel students. The students feel that our hostel is just like home away from home. Accommodation should be provided to the outstation students subject to necessary terms and conditions.

Health Care

24X7 medical unit is available in the campus besides arrangements with hospitals located nearby.

Cafeteria

A full-fledged canteen is provided to cater to the needs of the students. Veg & non-veg meals are available on payment of nominal charges. Varieties of snacks, soft drinks, coffee and tea are made available for the students during the short breaks of the class hour.

Common Room

The Institute has a common room equipped with indoor games like table tennis, carom, chess etc.

Games & Sports

Facilities have been made for the students’ active participation in physical training activity to distinguish themselves in field and track events, as well as in other games. They also take part in various tournaments. Separate indoor facilities for girls are also provided. There is a Cricket & Football ground for playing. Fully equipped multi gym facilities are also provided for both male and female students.

Railway Concession

Arrangements have been made with South Eastern Railway (S.E.R.) Govt. of India, to allow the students of our Institute to Travel in Trains within India at a confessional rate.
