Don’t have time for
a vacation but want to take a break from making notes (-G.A.T.E.!!). I’ve got
you covered.
No matter how much you
love making notes (-Liar…), believe that no one else can appear for your sems
and GATE it’s important to understand that you need to loosen up a bit too!
Sometimes, we need to
take a step back from all the toxic stress; give our minds and bodies time to
recharge. So that when we’re back in the game, we’ll be more motivated to be our
best at studies or sports or job we’re doing.
Here are some activities, from my experience, you, too, could do during your break that will surely, bring you in the game more inspired and motivated (-They’re quite interesting and effective actually).
GO FOR A WALK
Sounds boring, right! But vigorous workouts strengthen the body while free time strolls strengthen our ability to chill. Walking helps clear our thoughts, and will leave us bit more fit and a lot more calm (-Gaana chla lio..).
COOK
Meals made with love at home are the best! No
need to be a chef to make something awesome. So many simple cooking videos are
waiting for you (-chuckling); some you saved on your phone, promising yourself
you’d do it when you get the time. The time is now! Turn on music and start
chopping! (-“Kar har maidaan fateh” will help, hehe)
GO OFFLINE
According to NSH in the UK, people who logout
of FB for a week showed more overall satisfaction with their lives. Gussa mt
krna All I’m saying is try to stay offline and snap memories in your head
rather than for Instagram yarr… It is difficult, but I promise, there are
benefits.
READ
Believe me, reading is one way to escape our
world and enter another. Pick the one whose genre you will enjoy. Reading is
not merely plain fun, but it boosts our imagination. You know, while reading
Jane Austen I felt so focused (-first time ever!). Researchers believe it
increased blood flow to the regions of the brain that are associated with
focusing on tasks (Woaah). Reading strengthens our ability to pay attention.
DO NOTHING
Surprised, aren’t you? (-Haha). This one is my personal fav and highly recommended. Just find a comfortable place to sit and lie down and do nothing. In a while, thoughts of life and randomness will go through your head trying to sort things out. Let them all go and focus on your breathing (-lambi saans). Just a few more minutes of resting your brain, will give it a mental vacation and will leave your brain more rested and relaxed.
Congratulations!
You have shown immense
patience to read this entire e-journal and reaching the finish line. Salute.
