We live in an age of innovation and change. Continuous learning and development of various skills have become very crucial to stay along the rapid evolution and success. Without fuel any vehicle cannot run in the way, similarly without learning no one can go  further in their way of life.

It is well known fact that children learn in heaps and bounds everyday. They do so simply by playing with toys, solving puzzles and observing the environment around them. In fact they learn so much and so quickly that by age of six they can acquire a vocabulary of around 6000 words.  But what motivates them to learn? Well firstly, kids are very curious. Secondly, they don't have any stress and constraint of job, pledge and other responsibilities that come with being an adult. Yet in these days, learners are expected to learn despite of their distraction, preoccupation and lack of inspiration. And without inspiration, all the training in the tech savvy world won't lead to a effective learning.

In order to face the challenges of today's innovative world further practically, more and more learners are developing their skills by occupying themselves with skill development courses and online programs. But majority of them are not very satisfied or motivated throughout the courses and training programs. Why is this happening to them? How do you inspire yourself to learn despite the obstacles?

Here are a few quick tips to help you do so. All learners or students should follow these 4 to 5 perquisites:

  • Attention: Be attentive regardless of what you are learning during the courses.
  • Communication: This is one of the most important factor for any learning program. For the purpose of practical learning, the communication with fellow learners and trainer is essential.

“Communication - the human connection - is the key to personal and career success” - Paul J. Meyer

  • Self-learning: Self-learning is the modern form of learning, also known as self-study. It haven't replaced the traditional learning but supplemented it enormously. It will equip you with strong problem solving skill and curiosity to learn more. The most common tool used for self-study is the internet.
  • Application: A training program allows you to strengthen your skills that needs to be improved but the application of those skill is necessary for thinking and solving problems in real life scenarios. By applying the skill you obtained will yield confidence in your ability.

“It’s not that I’m so smart, it’s just that I stay with problems longer.“ -  Albert Einstein

  • Remediation: Remediation process is important for both trainer and trainee. Remediation activities are intended to correct a learner's failures.

“Anyone who has never made a mistake has never tried anything new. “ - Albert Einstein

  •  Reward: It is the most basic motivator in the learning curve. As you achieve success , you will be motivated by your own achievements. If you reward yourself for your achievements, it will be a joyful and productive learning experience.
