A month full of experiences, fun and motivation to learn about latest technologies.
Like every other year, MYWBUT - the leading educational portal of Eastern India, had organised their Winter Training 2018-19. Each semester break, students from various colleges under WBUT (MAKAUT)/ autonomous colleges and other universities, come here and grab knowledge about latest technologies, create some innovative projects. This time, there were 15+ courses, and in each courses we had multiple batches. Python Programming language holding the highest number of registrations, shows that it is one of the most demanding technology, nationwide.

A pool of technically sound faculties, trained 1500+ students, thoroughly. Throughout the training, basic concepts about a particular technology are cleared, then dealt with a bit of theory and more of practical implementation. Most of the faculties try to train the students giving real life examples, which becomes easier for a student to understand.

There were many first year students, those who were enthusiastic throughout the training, and made few innovative projects with the help of the faculties. Students from various streams and years learnt how to develop an app, design and develop a website, design models/structures in AutoCAD and SolidWorks, design a Hybrid Vehicle, make various types of bots (line follower, obstacle avoider, wall follower, sumo bots, etc.).

This time we had organised a Capture the Flag HACKATHON for all the students who went through the Ethical Hacking and Cyber Security Course, where students had been given a webpage with username and password. They had to crack the username and password, and capture the flag, which would re-direct them to the next level of the challenge. Many went through this and scored well.
